If you’re anything like us, we see an interesting headline during our daily scroll—pause to read it—but then keep scrolling without reading the actual story. Brit Awards 2022 To Remove Gendered Categories
Award shows have always been a topic of controversy, each year as nominees are announced fans, artists, and public figures sound off about the snubs and surprises. The Brit Awards are making a splash not because of nominees (that’s not even out yet) but because of their reworked categories for the 2022 awards. In a bid to make it more inclusive, they removed gendered categories such as British Male Solo Artist and replaced them with Artist Of The Year. Non-binary pop singer Sam Smith was left out of the gendered categories last year and openly expressed his desire for award shows to better represent the diverse society we all live in.

Dua Lipa Turns Lifestyle Guru With The Launch Of Service95
What comes after Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop and Kourtney Kardashian’s Poosh? Service95, a style, culture, and society concierge service from Dua Lipa. She didn’t follow the same one syllable, double O formula as her predecessors and she swears this has been a dream of hers as a compulsive list compiler of the best places to eat and stay. Yeah, same Dua but no one outside my friends cares. The weekly newsletter will feature the pop star’s coveted recommendations from food and hotels to playlists and think pieces spotlighting charities close to her heart. She’s also launching her own podcast called At Your Service where she’ll be asking the questions to her well-known friends and grassroots activists.

Cast Details Are Revealed For The Weeknd’s Cult Leader HBO Series
If you haven’t already heard, The Weeknd created a show with Euphoria showrunner Sam Levinson and it’s airing on HBO. It’s called The Idol and it’s going to be starring The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Anne Heche, Melanie Liburd, and Nico Hiraga. The combination of a network known for its lack of censorship and provocative plotlines paired with the minds of The Weeknd and Levinson is going to make for some good TV. The series is about a female pop star who gets into a relationship with a cult leader—sounds chaotic and dramatic- I already love it. According to Francesca Orsi, Executive VP of HBO Programming, the plot’s take on the cult of the music industry is unlike anything HBO has done before.

Adele, responsible for the emotional distress of people worldwide following the release of her album 30 dethroned Drake this week for the top-selling album of 2021. While 30 and Certified Lover Boy may be competing on the charts, the two artists behind them are the best of friends IRL. In an interview with CBC Radio, Adele praised Drake for being a good friend and said they’re part of a dying breed of artists. She’s referring to the fact that both artists have had longstanding careers, and they rose to fame before much emphasis was placed on streaming and social media. In the interview, Adele says “we existed in the old school-ness of the industry that we grew up watching and aspiring to [be part of].” She continues saying being able to go to someone like him that understands her life is one of the biggest gifts of her career. The celebrity friendship I didn’t know I needed, watch out Machine Gun Kelly and Pete Davidson.

The 2012 version of “All Too Well” was slightly over 5 mins but the re-release of Red features the new 10 minutes long “All Too Well” which has set the internet ablaze. If you’ve seen posts about a “lost scarf” or Jake Gyllenhall hate, it’s thanks to “All Too Well.” The break-up song is speculated to be about Gyllenhall and Swifties love to analyze verse by verse.
