After weeks of speculation and cryptic posts from Drake, he finally released his Fear Of Missing Out piece. The Toronto superstar stepped out of the ordinary once again and gave us a “not-so-short film” on Tuesday, September 15. The thing is, though, it premiered as a live stream, and he deleted it across social media platforms shortly after. So, as the name implies, if you missed the live stream, you really did miss out. Drake’s FOMO featured music, creative visuals, and unexpected scenes. We also got some surprise appearances from Sexxy Red and Pinkchyu, as well as snippets of unreleased music and a remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” featuring Don Toliver.

Rockstar Games released six songs from the highly anticipated upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) game, giving us a little taste of the 34-track soundtrack before it drops in November along with the game. From the first six songs, we’ve already gotten some iconic names on the list, including Travis Scott, PinkPantheress, Fred Again…, Morgan Wallen, and Keith Richards. The songs give off that summery South Florida vibe that the game is known and loved for. The powerful rhythm and bold lyrics mixed in with soft vocals and dance beats fit the sounds music fans have been loving over the past few years. Part of the lineup is “The Last Thing You Need” by Morgan Wallen, a fitting pop-country tune that matches the vibe of the game and adds a different flair to the list.

Miley’s highly anticipated new project and era have finally arrived as the global superstar released her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, today. The 11-track project is everything we expected and more. It’s an excellent pop album with all the right tunes to dance and sing along to, including “Let’s Get Married,” “REDLIGHTS,” and “Neon Signs” featuring Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow. The pop star also hinted at a potential residency in an interview with Zane Lowe released on Thursday, so it looks like we’ll be travelling to see Miley!

Beck is back to a familiar space with Ride Lomesome, his new album that revisits the folk-leaning sound of Sea Change and Morning Phase. In his conversation with Exclaim!, Beck explains that the album’s title track intentionally echoes the opening guitar strings of “The Golden Age” and “Morning,” creating what he described as a spiritual continuation of those records. The central focus of this project is the warm acoustic guitar rhythms. The project sees him reconnecting with previous collaborators and members of the band. He describes it as a “moon album,” inspired by the way emotions can be heightened at night.

Beabadoobee has unlocked a heavier side of herself and her discography as she released her fourth studio album, Pylon, today. The 14-track record was mostly written while she was touring and, so naturally, it explores themes of homesickness, isolation and the difficulty of being away from the people she loves. You can hear distorted guitars, feedback and that unmatched energy of a live band through various parts of the project. The album also features a range of artists across genres, including Hayley Williams on “Nothing to Prove” and Brendan Yates on “Powerlines.”
