Role Model/Chuck Timely/Saint Laurent Cowboy/Sabrina Carpenter brought Chuck on Tour to “Vancooter” or “Vancoochie”—his words not mine—for the only Canadian stop on this tour this past weekend. And as someone who has been listening to him since oh, how perfect, this was a huge moment for me. Samia was an incredible opener for the show (and gave me new songs to add to my playlists).

Not sure if the Canadian tuxedo was intentional but I’m giving him props for it even if it wasn’t. This was my second time at the Freedom Mobile Arch (or as he called it, “the big arch”) and first time seeing him live. With the tilted stage, “days on tour” tally (III btw), labeled band members, and the size + volume of the crowd, I fear he may be Mr. Big Time now.

All jokes aside, that man can sing. Besides skipping “Honeydew,” the set list was everything I could’ve hoped for, and getting to scream the chorus of “Some Protector” with everyone else at the show did more for me than therapy could.
