Rihanna is now a billionaire and the wealthiest female musician in the world according to Forbes. The report came out today estimating that Riri is now worth a whopping $1.7 billion. The majority of which comes from her Fenty Beauty brand which launched in 2017 and has quickly become one of the most popular beauty brands today. I can almost hear “Bitch Better Have My Money” playing in the background as Rihanna sits in her Fenty headquarters. 

The $1.7 billion is broken down into an estimated $1.4 billion from Rihanna’s 50% ownership in Fenty Beauty, $270 million from her lingerie line Savage x Fenty, and the rest coming from her music and film work. While Rihanna isn’t the only musician/celebrity to capitalize on her influence by starting a beauty brand—Pharrell, J Lo, and Alicia Keys have all done the same—she is the most successful to do so. 

This new title makes Rihanna the second-wealthiest female entertainer in the world, behind Oprah, and she joins Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, and Kanye West in the billionaire musicians club.
