Best known for being one-half of the party-rocking dance-rap duo LMFAO, Stefan “Redfoo” Gordy is changing gears. Sporting his signature goofy glasses, Redfoo has just made his professional tennis debut at 49 years old. The musician-turned-tennis-pro competed at M15’s Sharm El Sheikh event in Egypt earlier this week. He even experienced a “bagel” in his first qualifying round, winning 6-0. However, Redfoo was ultimately defeated by Norway’s Leyton Rivera in the main tournament. Despite the loss, Redfoo took to his Instagram to share what he considered his best point and wished his opponent good luck with the rest of the tournament. While this sudden athleticism may come as a surprise to some, Redfoo has been dedicated to the sport for quite some time, even participating in a U.S. Open qualifying tournament back in 2013.
