The Rogers Centre was bursting at the seams, every seat filled and every fan buzzing with anticipation. Merchandise was everywhere—shirts, hats, jackets—while the lines for the merch stands snaked around the arena. It was the first thing I noticed as I stepped inside: a sea of country music fans ready for a night they wouldn’t forget.
The openers set the tone perfectly. Zach King John and Gavin Adcock had the crowd fired up, and then Miranda Lambert surprised everyone by hitting the stage in an El Mocambo shirt, paying tribute to the legendary downtown Toronto music venue. It was surreal seeing one of country music’s biggest names open for another powerhouse like Morgan Wallen.
Wallen made his entrance in true style, stepping out in a classic Canadian tuxedo. Before that, he did his massive opening sequence that rolled straight into “Broadway Girls,” though unlike past shows, he didn’t bring out any guest celebs for the intro. After powering through a couple of tracks, he slowed things down to introduce one of his personal favorites—and mine—“I Got Better.” From there, the set leaned heavily on songs from his newest album I’m the Problem, with older fan favorites like “You Proof” sprinkled in.
Midway through, Wallen moved to the B-stage to strip things back. He started with a heartfelt cover of Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up,” before delivering one of the night’s standout moments: his playful intro to “I’m a Little Crazy,” which he called his “classy way to talk some sh*t.” It was iconic. He closed out this acoustic portion with “Sand in My Boots,” a crowd-wide singalong that filled every corner of the arena.

Returning to the main stage, Wallen turned up the energy with a party-ready rendition of “Up Down,” joined by Zach King John and Gavin Adcock. The three of them tore it up, shotgunning beers, dancing around, and keeping the vibe electric. Wallen kept the momentum rolling with throwbacks like “Cowgirls,” “Thinkin’ Bout Me,” and “This Bar,” each met with deafening singalongs.
The main set wrapped with a powerful performance of “I’m the Problem.” Behind him, screens flashed a montage of negative headlines and controversies, before he dramatically doused the stage with gasoline as pyro exploded around him.
Of course, he wasn’t done yet. The encore brought the crowd to another peak with “Last Night,” “Just in Case,” and “The Way I Talk.” The finale was massive, with fireworks, pyro, and a stadium full of fans losing their minds as Wallen closed out an unforgettable night.
