Roddy Ricch is back, more than two years after his debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Anti-Social, he’s released his highly anticipated follow-up, Live Life Fast. The man of few words doesn’t have to say much because the album speaks for itself. In the intro track, he says “I’ve realized I’ve lived fast. I want to take my time. Time is the most expensive luxury in the world. It’s something you spend and never get back. But you never know how much you have left.” Along with personal anecdotes, the album is full of star-studded features from Lil Baby, Future, Gunna, 21 Savage, Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. It’s Megan Thee Executive Producer now as the rapper has signed an exclusive first-look deal with Netflix. The partnership includes creating and executive producing content—tv series and other projects—for the streaming platform. The news comes right after Megan’s graduation from Texas Southern University, she’s a Hot Girl Graduate and Exec! “Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch,” she said in a statement. An inspiration to Hotties everywhere and I for one can’t wait to see if her content is as binge-worthy as her music.

Avril Lavigne Says “Sk8r Boi” Movie Is In The Works
If there was ever a reason to wear plaid and exaggerated amounts of black eyeliner again it’s this: Avril Lavigne wants to make “Sk8r Boi” into a movie for the song’s 20th anniversary. Speaking on She Is The Voice (an iHeartRadio podcast) she said a lot of people still ask her to perform the 2002 hit and she wants to take it to the next level. Of course, the people still want “Sk8r Boi” it’s an elite 2000s pop-punk song forever cemented in the memory of my (and many others) teenage angst years. If you don’t remember, the song is about a skater boy and a preppy girl in high school. The boy is in love with the girl but she’s too cool for him until five years later when she’s taking care of her baby alone and wishes she followed her heart not society’s expectations. The missed opportunity at love sounds like a classic rom-com plot but adapting the song’s original aesthetic to today is what has me intrigued. Will Olivia Rodrigo be in it? What about Gossip Girl’s modern-day sk8r boi Evan Mock? Is there singing involved? Seems “Complicated.”

Bruce Springsteen Sells His Masters and Music Publishing To Sony
If someone is having a good week it’s Bruce Springsteen, he just sold the rights to his music catalogue to Sony Music Entertainment for a casual $500 million. The sale includes Springsteen’s work at Columbia Records as a singer and songwriter and is said to be the largest transaction ever for a single artist’s catalogue. Not surprising considering he’s one of the top rock artists of all time with hits like “Born In The USA” and “Dancing In The Dark.” John Mayer even shared the news on Instagram with the caption “innovator and disruptor sells startup for $500 million.”

Burna Boy and Wizkid Celebrate At The Top On “B.D’OR”
Burna Boy and Wizkid are back with another collaboration for “B.D’OR,” the title refers to the Ballon D’Or an annual football (soccer) award regarded as the most prestigious individual award in men’s football. The last time these two came together on a song was for Wizkid’s “Ginger” in January and they also co-headlined the Lost In Riddim festival in October. This time it’s Wizkid adding a verse to Burna Boy’s song as they effortlessly pass bars back and forth over a percussion-heavy afro-pop beat.
