Lil Nas X’s Debut Album ‘Montero’ Is Finally Here
Lil Nas X’s long-awaited debut album is released and I have to wonder, does his back hurt from carrying the weight of being the only person to turn haters into a marketing campaign? Since Montero was announced, he’s turned his Nike lawsuit into a music video, gone viral responding to hate on Twitter, and taken inspiration from old mesothelioma ads for his Montero billboard ads. “Do you hate Lil Nas X? You may be entitled to financial compensation” read one of the billboards. He definitely has more fans than haters and his debut album is stacked with features from Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion, Elton John, Miley Cyrus, and Doja Cat. Even though the album is now out, you can count on Lil Nas X to continue making headlines and entertaining content for your daily social media scroll.

He’s remained an independent artist since he left Def Jam and is “shopping” his new album to potential labels. May Frank Ocean find the label he’s looking for and this album is released sooner rather than later
