September is strangely refreshing for a month where things begin to “decompose”, do you agree? While the season begins to shift and nature around us starts to change, with leaves beginning to fall and wildflowers coming to the end of their summer life cycle, I often associate this time of year with new beginnings. Whether it is the start of the school year, a new routine, or even just a fresh new pair of sneakers. Libra season has officially arrived, as has the Equinox, marking the halfway point of the Sun through the astrological calendar, making it a good time to check in with ourselves, for a number of reasons. Libra, being represented by the scales, can serve as a reminder to validate our sense of balance. Balance is an elegant art, and if you’re anything like me, you may not find it the easiest to master. Excuse me, my Taurus is showing. However you get there, this is a good time for you to balance your energy—your introversion in contrast to extroversion, your checkbooks, whatever the theme of balance shows up to you at this moment. While we can not circumvent the laws of the cosmos or the happenings of life—not to say we should let life happen to us—to be willed at our convenience, we can choose to meet ourselves where we are, no matter the circumstances.
A quick note on some of those potential circumstances… Mercury is retrograding again! This is a great time to give yourself a reminder of what this planetary movement means and why you should absolutely not fear it. This time, between September 9th and October 2nd, with a special distinction of being in two signs. The beginning of the cycle occurred in Libra along with the Sun, opposing Jupiter, potentially throwing off the aforementioned balance we’re searching for, giving us more reason to be keenly aware of both surplus and deficiencies. Continuing its trip backward, Mercury is now making its way into Virgo—its home sign, how lovely—on September 23rd. Opposing Neptune, having a clear sense of “reality” may feel convoluted. With that being said, don’t be too hard on yourself or force yourself to have the clarity you’re searching for.
My best advice? Exercise thoughtfulness and patience. Missing someone? Move with intention and give them a call. Want to be understood? Think about ways you’d like to be and explain. Take it a step further by imagining the best way your message would be received depending on the receiver. Have questions? Ask! Pause when you’re feeling disillusioned. Review. Rethink. But please, do not by any means, put your life on hold. What I’m trying to say is: don’t complicate life. Before you know it, things will become clearer around October 10th and Libra season will come to an end on October 23rd. Looking ahead of that, we will find ourselves entering Eclipse season, setting us up for transformation. Until then, let’s review your Libra season horoscopes, which I hope will spark something in you that can help you meet yourself where you are and maybe even get a sense of where you’re going.
Aries & Aries Rising
Libra season may feel like uncharted territory for you, Aries. Not only are you the opposite of Libra, but this particular season may bring up the urge to rest and recharge which can be foreign to you, given your fiery nature, but this doesn’t mean it has to be challenging. Mars, your ruling planet is slowing down in preparation for its upcoming retrograde which doesn’t officially begin until October 31st. In the same way, you can use this as a chance to prepare as well, especially given Mercury’s retrograde. Have symptoms of boreout and burnout on your radar—often confused for each other—and be ready to learn coping mechanisms with your best long-term interest top of mind. The New Moon in Libra on September 25 has the propensity to highlight some insights for you that can stir up a partnership in your life, not necessarily romantic. Remember, partnerships can act as a mirror, with your triggers reflecting back at you. If you look closer, you might also see a new opportunity for healing and growth. Ultimately, give yourself time to pause and reflect and resist the urge to give into impulse. On the come up, however, is the Full Moon on October 9th in your sign. This is your moment. Perhaps it can unlock some newness for you, whether it is a hobby, talent, idea, etc. Reflect on any goals you set for yourself 6 months ago during your personal new year. Astrology cycles aside, a 6-month check-in is good standard practice for tracking your progress and assessing how things have changed. What you thought would work for you back then, may not be true now, so remember to keep close to this idea of meeting yourself where you are (yes, I’m repeating it again).
Taurus & Taurus Rising
Taurus, there has likely been a natural focus on romanticism, beauty, and art this month thanks to your Venusian connection to Libra. There is a lot of power of attraction at play here—readiness to express yourself and attracting favorable circumstances. Creativity is running high, but with Mercury retreating into your joy and pleasure sector later into its retrograde while in Virgo, the creative and romantic pursuits may be pulled out of your center of attention and will shift into a focus on your health and wellness. Libra moving into your sixth house, and the upcoming New Moon on the 25th, further fulfills this prophecy and can call on you to improve your daily routines and restore balance. Following a usual, known routine may not be enough. I know, a bit out of the Taurus comfort zone. Try something new for your day-to-day and look to where there is room for improvement. This can be as simple as trying a new commute or workout routine. With Mars boosting your desire to live more comfortably and securely, the planetary alignments are setting you up for success. This Aries Full Moon falling on October 9 will also contribute to highlighting an inclination to make positive changes concerning your well-being. Harness your good ole dependable Taurus patience when things are feeling incomplete or have a lack of closure. It’s not lost on me that you may feel like you’ve been bearing the brunt of the Eclipses this year, but the upcoming Eclipse season will be sure to move what is stuck. It’s annoying to hear but being challenged means equal opportunity to rise up. Champion the perspective that you can meet hardship with your best self, and be proud of yourself for doing so. Need to hone in your energy on simply coping? That is equally as important, satisfying, and can reap the same benefits of growth.
Gemini & Gemini Rising
Even though it is in your Gemini nature to be the life of the party and socialize, September has been bringing into focus all things personal. At first, it may have been your home life, but as Libra season arrived, bringing harmony into your romantic relationships has entered your radar. Though you may think of romance as being exclusively outward, this is inspiring you to reflect inward as well. You’re expanding your sentiments and sitting on feelings about what matters to you in your partnerships. Follow your heart, Gemini! If the New Moon on the 25th is making your heart skip a beat, pay attention to what makes it flutter. And please, be gentle with yourself as you heal from your past. While reflecting on past experiences, try not to get consumed by them, but rather move forward with these new considerations. You may find loved ones around you relying on you for support, and this new connection you’re making with your heart will help guide you on how to show up. Again, we see the theme of balance at play here. Considering Mercury, your ruling planet, is in retrograde, this time for review and reflection is resonating. Between the 22nd and 26th of September, you may make a discovery that provides you with a new perspective on an old experience. Try to reserve judgment around these dates and tune into your inner dialogue, as your subconscious is sending you messages you’ll want to receive. By October 9th, when the Full Moon in Aries comes around, you know you can come back to your heart and lean on others to make some important decisions. And—not that a Gemini needs to be reminded—lean on your lightheartedness as you work through these transits.
Cancer & Cancer Rising
Sweetest Cancer, home and family life are common focal points for you, but you may find extra emphasis placed on this sector as the month progresses. Libra season 2022 is here to bring some awareness to your living situation. Is it time for a refresh? Do you need to make your environment more cushiony? Maybe invite a family member or two over to create a further sense of home in your space? The New Moon on the 25th in Libra highlights a desire for fresh starts in your personal life and you may feel an additional need for safety. This doesn’t mean physical safety, but rather a sense of belonging and security. There is an abundance of supportive vibrations radiating from this Moon, so my best advice is to open your heart to become a vessel of reception. If anyone’s heart is big enough to collect, it’s yours. Toward the end of September and early October, your attention may shift to learning, sharing, and connecting, carrying what you’ve learned from previous weeks with you. Take it upon yourself to be your own teacher or look to be a student of the life happening all around you. Talk about your learnings, share them with people you trust, and be open to a rich and plentiful back and forth. With Venus having moved into your communication house on the 5th of September, it could be boosting the enjoyment you get out of collaborating and mental stimulation. However, with Mercury retrograding, it is important to be thoughtful and intentional with these exchanges if you want to get the most out of them. Finally, as the Full Moon in Aries rolls around on October 9, it brings with it brasher energy than a Cancer prefers. Sit with your sensitivities here and avoid it causing a disruption in the progress of the goals you dreamt about 6 months ago and have been working toward. Relish in the self-taught lessons you’ve indulged in and know that you will carry these with you, they will continue to infer the messages your subconscious sends to your conscious throughout the following Eclipse season.
Leo & Leo Rising
While some are struggling to find the right words and inspiration to express themselves this season, working through Mercury retrograding, you don’t seem to relate! Leo, get out there and meet new people. Right now, contributing and collaborating will feel fulfilling to you, with the Sun in Libra highlighting your third house of learning, communicating, and connecting. The New Moon in Libra is a great opportunity for you to set some grounded intentions in terms of how you’d like to contribute and collaborate this season. It’s all looking desirable to you; sharing what you’ve read, studied, taught, and thought about. Remember, you’re not above tripping over a word or two while Mercury is spinning back, so even if you’re brimming with ideas, watch for little faux pas that are common pairs with enthusiasm, like speaking over people or cutting them off prematurely. Give others the time to process with you, collaboration is best when all parties are equally as assertive and cooperative. While Mercury is in your solar second house of Virgo, you may feel inclined to check some old highlighted passages or stickies in a book, as you may discover something new that wasn’t made abundantly clear to you the previous time around. It feels kismet as your fiery nature is manifesting strong emotions and an immediate need to express yourself, just as your phone so happens to be blowing up. Feels like everyone wants to be around you this season, so give them a reason to feel good about their intuition guiding them your way.
Virgo & Virgo Rising
How was your personal new year, Virgo? The Sun was just in your zodiac, highlighting everything you. Your life’s purpose, the little details that inform your nature, and where you shine were just illuminated. Now, the Sun has ventured into your neighbor Libra, where it can maybe help you get clarity on things that weren’t made aware to you yet, almost like a shadowy corner in your consciousness. Meaning the first part of this Libra season could make for a very rich inner world of yours, assessing your inner resources and self-worth. Think of yourself on a stage in your mind and the applause sign is flashing. So, please Virgo, just this once, don’t be so critical of yourself. The Libra New Moon on September 25 will offer some influence to expand your financial situation and is a good time to consider investments, or starting that new side hustle you’ve been thinking about. To be clear, a good time to consider. With Mercury retrograding, and in your sign—which can be a bit unpredictable in terms of whether it’s bringing excess or lack—it’s best to make intentions rather than commitments. In tandem with Mercury’s trickiness, Libra season overall is a good call to balance, so perhaps it’s a good idea to take a look at your spending habits. Who knows where you could afford to spend more or less. Coming up in October, we have a Full Moon in Aries falling on the 9th, that is a change of pace for you—heating things up. Try to be mindful of where you give and receive, assert your boundaries, and try to navigate any potential tense conversations strategically. This is a great time for you to put yourself first, Virgo.
Libra & Libra Rising
The Sun has made its way around the Earth and it’s time for your personal new year, Libra! When the Sun is in your zodiac, it illuminates you, you’re in the spotlight. People want to be around you, not just to celebrate your birthday, but because you’re in your element which is attractive. Take advantage of Venus entering your sign on September 29th and indulge in all of this attention you’re receiving. Even if you remain undecided on who exactly you’d like attention from long-term—serial flirt—you’re enjoying yourself and you deserve it. The New Moon in Libra on the 25th is all about you. It’s a great time to reinvent your image if that’s something you’ve been thinking about. With a Mars-Saturn transit on the 27th, your energy will be best put into something that you’re already feeling motivated toward rather than fretting over “this or that” in typical Libra fashion. On October 9th, we’ll be seeing a Full Moon in Aries, which lights up your seventh house of partners and personal relationships. Although this is your time, continue to build that rapport with others. Balance is even imposed on you during your time. Sometimes you are a master of balance while other times you are especially sensitive to its effects, which reflect the equilibrium of nature itself and the power in opposition. Take notice of partners or collaborators that bring out the best in you, keep you on track, and have been dedicated to showing up. Ultimately, Libra, take a hold of your desires, pursue them, look good doing it, and celebrate yourself.
Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
It’s almost your time, Scorpio, as you’re looking ahead to your personal new year. Before you become the center of attention, you’re in a rest phase. The summer was hectic and full of energy and now it’s alright to get cozy, get some pre-spooky-season horror movies going, and decompress. This Libra season, there is a lot of support for you to look inward and take a look at your hidden life, while the Sun is in your privacy sector and Mercury retreats into your social sector on the 23rd. Maybe it’s best to spend some much-needed time alone, finding yourself in a moment of opportunity to make some health and work improvements. The New Moon coming up on September 25th in Libra will bring you closer to your inner dialogue and intuition which will guide you on how to shift pace, in a way that makes sense to you, and illuminate what’s holding you back from pursuing more vibrant conditions. It can help you get a fresh start, a sense of closure, and heart healing. Do the work now, be kind to yourself, and go slow. Everything will start gearing up by the Full Moon in Aries on October 9th and well into Scorpio season. The Full Moon will bring all of your insights from the New Moon cycle into the spotlight, ready for the external world to start taking note of your transformation jOuRnEy. Scorpio, by the time the Eclipse happens on October 25th in your sign, the world will begin to really open up to you, and you’re going to be channeling some fresh bad bitch energy.
Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
Sagittarius, you are keenly aware of what you want right now. With a strong focus on your long-term goals, the small stuff is in your peripherals. Sit with your accomplishments and responsibilities this month. For a free spirit like you, this may sound startling or boring, but the stars show vibrant influences and you’ll likely find yourself enjoying it—not feeling like it’s “work”. Speaking of work, the charm you possess around this time might actually catch the attention of people in positions of leadership, potentially related to your career. And with the Sun’s transit into Libra, moving into your networking sector, you can heavily lean on your friends and connections for support. The little steps toward your dreams have to be part of the fun, and a Sagittarius knows better than anyone that it’s how you get there—fun, adventurous detours included—and not just the destination that matters. Mercury moves back into your public and professional sector on the 23rd meaning, if you are focused on the aforementioned attention of leadership in relation to your career, be mindful of what you’re communicating in these settings. Don’t jump to conclusions and assume that there is some information that is still remaining hidden. The New Moon in Libra on the 25th is also at play here to help you attain your goals and is tickling the part of your brain that stores its resourcefulness. Try meditating on security and practicality and how that can help bring your dreams to fruition, carrying these notions in your New Moon intentions can go a long way. By October 9th when the Aries Full Moon is at its peak, you get a feel of how delicate balance can really be. This illuminated moon can potentially highlight issues with a certain partnership or friendship, you’ll want to be careful of any brash words. On the other hand, maybe you’ll have a really cathartic and healing conversation with someone you’ve been a bit uneasy about. You’ll have to report back.
Capricorn & Capricorn Rising
You are in your element this Libra season, Capricorn. With the Sun at the top of your solar chart, your desire to achieve is illuminated. With goal setting top of mind, keep organized and prioritize dependability, given that Mercury is currently in retrograde. This could mean even setting an additional reminder on your schedule for meetings or deadlines, as an extra safety net. The upcoming New Moon on September 25th in Libra is a great time for you to plant some seeds to harvest in the future. Lean on Mercury’s backspin to provide you with missed lessons from your past experiences for support. Conducive to Capricorn nature, you’re aware of practical solutions and feel an inclination to apply them to your current endeavors or projects. This New Moon is showing to be really supportive of you at this time, so don’t hesitate to use this cosmic endorsement to your advantage. The following Full Moon in Aries on October 9 coerces with the aforementioned planetary support, and naturally guides your awareness to where you can step up and exhibit some leadership skills. Be mindful as Aries, ruler of the first house, can stir up our ego and general temperament. Focus on how to be a fair and empathetic leader, it will prove to be beneficial in the longer run. Your general enthusiasm for this sector of your life right now might arouse some interest in reading a leadership book or looking to a mentor for guidance—follow that intuition. If a fire begins to stir in you at this time, affecting your attitude negatively, embrace Libra’s airiness and take a breath or two. Rooting for your personal and career development at this time, Capricorn.
Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
Got an itch to travel, Aquarius? Your mind is active and curious, wondering about all the life experiences and wisdom out there for you if you broaden your horizons. The themes of travel and higher education are in your conscious awareness at this time, with the Sun’s grand entrance into Libra, and will continue well into October. This can be a little tricky for you, with Mercury retrograding until October 2nd. Try to hold off on any concrete travel plans, or at least try to adopt a flexible attitude if a booking is unavoidable, as some delays or mishaps are possible. Lucky for you, the New Moon on September 25th in Libra is supporting your dream itineraries. You are looking forward to a bright future and it feels very real to you right now. Temperance feels like a strength of yours right now and others can see it in you too. You’re thinking about your needs for romance, pleasure, and personal fulfillment while considering distractions and obstacles. Channel these attitudes and infuse them into your New Moon intentions. This could mean doing thorough research and planning prior to making commitments reserved for mid-October once the fog of Mercury retrograde has passed. Keep your intentions and dedication to these perspectives and let them carry you into the Full Moon in Aries on October 9th, as it may stir up some impulsive temperament. Aries and Aquarius can be a bit incompatible in that sense, so instead, lean on Libra energy to keep you in balance. Overall, the cosmos seem to be rooting for your personal growth and well-being. Consider a platform for sharing all the wisdom and experiences after you’re well-traveled.
Pisces & Pisces Rising
Movements and messages are in abundance this Libra season for you, Pisces. As the Sun moves into Libra this year, an instinct to retreat inward could be present. There’s a natural curiosity within you arising; an internal pressure to understand yourself deeply and where some of your behavioral habits are rooted in. This is pretty familiar territory for a Pisces who often dive into deep waters. This Libra season happens to be particularly supportive. An interesting distinction in the cosmos for you now, Pisces, is that Jupiter is in your resources sector and is a long-term influence that provides sustenance in regards to themes of abundance and comfort in your life. We see this in two primary areas right now: finances and romance. In regards to finances, there are various aspects of cosmic support for pursuing your financial goals and assessing how you relate to comfort, especially where money can provide. The minor challenging aspect of Jupiter in retrograde to Saturn and Uranus can be an insightful time to explore what is derailing or creating an obstacle for your income or using your talents and resources to boost you. The New Moon in Libra on September 25th is all about reimagining your perspective. How can you change said perspective on your financial situation? Or on intimacy and how you receive comfort from your partnerships? There is a sentiment of a fresh start hurtling toward you. Approaching the Aries Full Moon on October 9, you may feel like you are in hot water being brought to a boil. If there is something that feels incomplete or dismissed and is triggering you right now, sit with it. You have the tools and moral support around you right now to resolve what is weighing on you. And of course, I have to do my due diligence to remind you of that looming Mercury retrograde so I kindly encourage you to move with intention, patience, and mindfulness.
