The 2021 version of their “Jenny From The Block” yacht photo circulated faster than you could say “Bennifer 2.0.” The entire internet is reading into their every move and a few conspiracy theories have started circulating about their reunion. Some are speculating this is all just one epic recreation of the “Jenny From The Block” music video for its 20th anniversary, which is coming up.
Comedy writer and producer, Caissie St. Onge, did the heavy lifting of this hypothesis on her podcast Busy Philipps Is Doing Her Best, and here are the CliffsNotes; their first public kiss in 2021 was at Nobu and it looks eerily similar to the dinner date scene in the music video. Then, Affleck was spotted wearing a silver watch, that once again, looks familiar to the watch J Lo gifted him in the original video. Did he keep it all these years? Or is this a calculated accessory placement? The paparazzi pics of their vacations with Affleck on the balcony and J Lo peering out of the hotel window all give “Jenny From The Block” vibes. For the grand finale, that iconic yacht pic of Affleck touching J Lo’s ASSests from 2002 has gotten an update. She’s in a string bikini with her hair up again! And Affleck’s hand looks like it never left its original position.

Is there going to be a video remake? Is their romance real or a part of an elaborate PR stunt? For now, we don’t know, but Bennifer has thrown their name into the ring for power couple of the year.
But before you go into a conspiracy spiral, take note that they’ve never been a low-key couple. Remember when Affleck spent almost $15,000 on ads in 2002 to tell the world how much he enjoyed working with J Lo on Gigli? This high-key couple are seasoned vets in giving the public what they want.
Yes, MGK cast Megan Fox in a music video last year and the internet lost it. Yes, we know Rihanna and A$AP Rocky just filmed a stylish video together and we can’t wait till it drops. But if J Lo and Affleck recreate the music video for one of the biggest 2000s bops they’re going to break the internet. Will it be followed by an engagement (again)?
