This season of Dancing With The Stars has been filled with great music, extravagant costumes and many iconic moments. From reality T.V. stars to Australian conservationists, season 34 really has it all. Many popular songs have hit the ballroom floor this season including “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Gnarly” by Katseye, and “Look What You Made Me Do” by Taylor Swift. All of these songs are also performed live alongside the dancers by professional singers and musicians led by music director Ray Chew. With the finale coming up this Tuesday, November 25th, let’s take a look back on some of the most memorable routines from the 5 finalists.

The first number to come to mind when reflecting back on the iconic routines of this season is Alix Earle’s Viennese Waltz to Lana Del Rey’s version of “Once Upon a Dream” from the movie Maleficent. Channeling the character of Maleficent with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy on Disney night, this number allowed us to see a different side of Earle that we don’t always see on Tiktok. From the make up and costume, to the refined moves and elegance on the dance floor, this routine wowed us all, especially so early on in the competition having performed this dance in week 4.

In the 20th anniversary special episode, we got to see content creator Dylan Efron and pro Daniella Karagach dance the Argentine Tango to “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers. This dance really highlighted how much Efron has grown in his dancing abilities since week one of this competition. As well, it reminded us what a powerhouse pro dancer Karagach is. This routine was dramatic and captivating and featured sleek costuming. It is definitely one to watch and watch again.

Whether you have been a long time fan of the Irwin family or are just falling in love with them through Robert Irwin this season, his number on Dedication night will definitely bring a tear to your eye. Irwin performed a contemporary dance to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be in My Heart,” alongside pro Witney Carson. This routine was dedicated to Irwin’s mother Terri to thank her for her strength and love after losing his father Steve when he was very young. Having joined the show with zero dance experience, Robert Irwin’s ability to perform expressive choreography that left the entire ballroom in tears is remarkable.

Another celebrity that has grabbed our hearts this season is actress Elaine Hendrix. After missing an episode due to injury, Hendrix came into Wicked Night stronger than ever with a contemporary dance to the song “Defying Gravity”. Her pro Alan Bersten choreographed an empowering number that sent the message that despite missing a week of competition and dealing with a rib injury, Hendrix is here to stay. Her passion for dance and excitement for the show shines through the screen so strongly as she continues to perform poised and dynamic routines.

Last but certainly not least, the ballroom has been consistently wowed by Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles and her partner Ezra Sosa. On Rock & Roll night the two performed a showstopping number to Tina Turner’s song “River Deep – Mountain High”. Channeling true Tina Turner through music, choreography and costume, Chiles embodies Turner’s electrifying stage presence. This jazz routine was rhythmic and polished, and got the entire ballroom on their feet.

Though all these performances left our jaws on the floor this season, there can only be one Mirrorball champion. Val Chmerkovskiy has a chance to earn his fourth mirrorball if he is able to capture first place with Alix Earle, while other pros like Ezra Sousa will be competing in the finale for the first time! Each couple will be performing 3 dances on November 25th, including the fan favourite freestyles and newly added Instant Dance round. Do not miss a moment of the excitement next week!
