If you’re anything like us, we see an interesting headline during our daily scroll—pause to read it—but then keep scrolling without reading the actual story. So at the end of each week, we’re rounding up all the buzziest, news-worthy headlines you might have missed. Think of it like the “saved” feature on Instagram but for news instead of aesthetically pleasing photos. Donald Glover talked about working on new music, Tyler, the Creator shared a PSA for fans attending his concert, and Dreamville records announced a new mixtape—this is what you missed this week.

Donald Glover Talks New Childish Gambino Music & the Return of ‘Atlanta’
It’s safe to assume that Donal Glover is always busy, as the creator of Atlanta in which he also stars and his Childish Gambino rap alter ego, he could be working on music, film, or both at any given moment. This week he sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to discuss the above and a new Lando Calrissian project for Disney+. After Kimmel made a joke about Glover’s newly bald head, he swiftly ducked any commentary on the Oscars and that Will Smith and Chris Rock exchange by instead saying the new look was because he’s no longer playing Earn (his character on Atlanta with a full head of hair) but one of his kids isn’t a fan of the haircut. When asked about music he offered that he’s making a lot of new music and he still loves doing it but didn’t reveal any release plans. *Sigh* Add Childish Gambino to the list of artists with unconfirmed projects, right below Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar. Glover acknowledged it was risky for the Atlanta season three premiere not to feature the main characters but he wanted it to be “harrowing and cinematic” like a movie. Finally, his new Disney+ project is said to feature the space character he played in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story but Glover remained coy only offering he has a lot of things he’s working on that will drop at some point.

Tyler, the Creator Doesn’t Want Things Thrown on Stage at His Shows
Tyler, the Creator has been issuing many PSA’s during the US leg of his Call Me If You Get Lost tour (cc: him making a fan’s ex give back her concert ticket), and the most recent is regarding items being thrown on stage while he’s performing. In a fan-wide tweet, he wrote “Stop throwing your shit on stage, I don’t want it. Now mid-show I gotta move it. What’s the logic? F*cking stop. Thanks b.” A fan replied with a video from a recent show where he reiterates the same informal concerns. I’m imagining fans everywhere holding their gifts for Tyler like this otter and thinking wait is this f*cking play about us? There you have it, bring your applause and leave the gifts at home the next time you go see a Tyler, the Creator concert.

Rihanna’s Epic Maternity Style Continues For Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s Oscars After Party
Many things happened during the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday. Notably, for music, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas took home the Oscar for their original James Bond song “No Time To Die”, Questlove’s Summer of Soul won the Oscar for Best Documentary, Beyoncé delivered a stunning performance of “Be Alive” from King Richard, Megan Thee Stallion joined the Encanto universe, and Lady Gaga shared a heartwarming moment on stage with Liza Minnelli. An absentee from the award show and the official after-party was Rihanna but we can now confirm she did step out Sunday evening to attend Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s unofficial Oscars after-party because naturally what other party would she attend? Wearing a floor-length sheer black Valentino gown, she’s living proof that maternity style can be whatever you want. Speaking to Refinery29 last month, the singer in her third trimester shared her mantra for dressing while carrying her child. “When women get pregnant, society tends to make it feel like you hide, hide your sexy, and that you’re not sexy right now [but] you’ll get back there and I don’t believe in that shit. So I’m trying stuff that I might not have even had the confidence to try before I was pregnant. The strappiest, the thinnest, and the more cut-outs the better for me.”

Kehlani and Justin Bieber Team Up for “up at night” Single
Kehlani shared a new track from her upcoming album blue water road called “up at night” and it’s featuring Justin Bieber. Speaking about the track Kehlani shared “It’s about having a healthily obsessed relationship. You’re telling someone, I love you so much it keeps me awake at night”. She also shared that she loved the vocals Justin did and it’s a fun song to dance to. Her new album is out on April 29th and it’ll include the previously released singles “Altar” and “Little Story”. In the meantime, I’ll be asking my therapist to define exactly what a “healthily obsessed relationship” looks like and using Kehlani’s track as evidence.
