Pusha T Confirms ‘Gangsta Grillz’ Mixtape with DJ Drama
It’s a good day for Pusha T fans, as the rapper confirmed he has new music on the way in form of a mixtape with DJ Drama. Rap Radar’s Brian “B Dot” Miller got the exclusive while hosting a Twitter Spaces discussion that Pusha T took part in, which led to the omission that DJ Drama and Pusha had been working together. The mixtape will be the follow-up to Pusha T’s fourth studio album, It’s Almost Dry, and the next installment of DJ Drama’s Gansta Grillz series. Earlier this year, DJ Drama released Gangsta Grillz: I Still Got It with Snoop Dogg and while there is no official name for the Pusha T collaboration it’s expected to arrive sometime in 2023. Gangsta Grillz alumni include Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Jadakiss, dead prez, and more. It’s Almost Dry received critical acclaim this year, making many “best of” lists and a Grammy nomination—a reminder that Pusha is still at the top of his game.

Diddy Unveils First Photos of Newborn Baby Daughter Love Sean Combs
Diddy added another stocking to his fireplace this year as he welcomed his new baby daughter, Love Sean Combs, to his family on October 15th. Aside from her name and confirmation of arrival, no other details were revealed—until now. “I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world,” he tweets in part. “Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie, and myself all love you so much,” Diddy wrote, giving a shout-out to his six older kids. The hip-hop mogul shared the first photos of Love on Instagram, followed up by a family photo of his children, minus Justin, in matching Christmas onesies. Diddy named his daughter after himself—would you expect any less main-character energy from him? The secrecy surrounding the baby, coupled with Diddy’s recent announcement of being single and being in an open relationship with rapper and podcast host Yung Miami, has fans discombobulated. When urged by fans on Twitter to hop on an episode of her own podcast because they “need answers,” Yung Miami replied with an elusive eyes emoji. On Monday, she teased that a forthcoming guest on her podcast, Caresha Please, is a “male rapper” and she will set the record straight on her relationship with Diddy. One thing is for sure and it’s that Nick Cannon will have enough kids for a basketball team, with 2 starting lineups and a couple of players on the bench, before Diddy (no matter how much love he has to go around).

Cher Sparks Engagement Rumors By Posting Massive Diamond Ring
Happy holidays, Cher is engaged. Or seemingly so. Cher and her current music producer boyfriend were first spotted holding hands back in November during Paris Fashion Week, and the duo quickly hit it off after that. On the day of Christmas, Cher took to Twitter to share a photo of a massively beautiful (did I say massive?) diamond ring with the caption, “THERE R NO WORDS. ALEXANDER, A.E.” The photo gained traction online, sparking rumors that the duo is engaged. A.E. (or Alexander Edwards) is a music executive at Universal Music Group and worked on Tyga’s independent music label, Last Kings Records. He and Cher share a 40-year age gap which Cher did not seem fazed by, openly sharing her love for her new man on social media. Even still, the engagement came as a surprise to many, and maybe even Cher herself, as mere minutes after the original post, the pop icon reposted the same photo again, explaining that she posted it “because his nails are so cool.” Right, Cher, we were all looking at his nails and NOT the white gold diamond ring that’s the size of a quail egg. The back and forth had left many fans confused. Is Cher engaged? Is she not? Who proposed, and why did she retract after sharing such seemingly good news? Cher’s hair is full of secrets, and she never lets us know her next move, but we wish her and her fabulous ring all the best.

Kendrick Lamar Explains Lack of Social Media Presence & “Hood Beethoven” Live Show
Ah, the man, the myth, the legend that is Kendrick Lamar. He rarely speaks outside of his music, only posts on social media about work (even then posts are few and far between), and has seemingly mastered the divide between business and personal. In a rare interview with The New York Times, he opened up about nature vs nurture, how social media feeds into ego and the concept behind his theatrical The Big Steppers tour. The profile focused on Kendrick and his longtime collaborator, Dave Free, and their respective journeys from childhood to becoming friends and eventually, co-founders of pgLang. He credited Compton for being an intrinsic part of his identity saying, “It’s nature versus nurture. I was nurtured in an environment where there’s, like, a lot of gang mentality. That certain language, certain lingo. How we walk. How we talk.” Clarifying that he can never shake the intrinsic parts of him that tie back to his childhood in Compton, he leans into his pure nature to allow himself to step away from what was nurtured and be expansive in his work. “My social media, most of the time, is completely off, because I know, like… I can easily smell my own [shit],” he says later on. He admits that while he’s not boastful, “the moment that you start getting lost in your ego, that’s when you start going down.” Social media does undoubtedly feed into one’s ego and it echoes the self-awareness woven throughout his last album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, which focuses on his ego and id. Lastly, he talked about how he and Dave worked to bring the album’s vision to life for a live performance described as “Hood Beethoven”. They wanted to incorporate dance and art to contextualize the music he performed on tour and deliver a “theatrical hip-hop show, and not the corny shit.”

Bad Bunny Hosts Annual Toy Drive in Puerto Rico
Being Spotify’s most streamed global artist of the year isn’t the only thing on Bad Bunny’s mind. With a sold-out arena tour, and performing in stadiums for the World’s Hottest Tour, the Puerto Rican artist has enough accolades to make the most epic “year in review” post. However, he decides the best way to end off his magnificently successful year is by giving back to the place where his dreams first came true, Puerto Rico. The superstar helped spread joy on the island with a “Bonita Tradición,” or “Beautiful Tradition” gift drive held at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan. Through his non-profit organization, the Good Bunny Foundation, Bad Bunny and his team handed out over 200,000 gifts to children in his community, including instruments, sports equipment, and art supplies. This is the third year Bad Bunny and his foundation have shown up for people in his home country during the holidays. In the past, he said that although his music is not for children, he wanted to use his foundation to give something to the children in Puerto Rico who follow him. In the spirit of the holidays, Bad Bunny continued the fun by inviting American rapper Arcángel to his hometown Vega Baja to shoot the music video from their collaboration “La Jumpa.” When fans spotted the duo, they decided to turn their filming into a free concert. From a series of videos from a fan in the crowd, we see Bad Bunny running along the rooftop of a Gulf gas station while performing many of his hits, including “Me Porto Bonito,” “Efecto,” and “Gato de Nache.” Unlike his cheeky name, the Bad Bunny brought an abundance of happiness to his home island.
