Demi Lovato Comes Out as Non-Binary
This week Demi Lovato announced they are non-binary, now using they/them pronouns. The news came on the first episode of their podcast, 4D with Demi Lovato, with gender non-conforming writer and performer Alok Vaid-Menon. Addressing their new pronouns Lovato said, “I feel that this best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am, and am still discovering.”

Lana Del Rey recently announced the July 4th release date of her new album Blue Banisters. There were no singles released from the album, until yesterday. Del Rey’s streaming platforms were quietly updated Thursday with three new songs “Text Book,” “Wildflower Wildfire,” and “Blue Banisters.”

BTS member V opened up to Rolling Stone Magazine about the challenges he’s faced throughout his career. V was originally the secret seventh member of the K-pop group, which he said felt isolating because he could never appear in public as a part of the group. Working on a solo project is the first time he hasn’t had the collaborative aspect of BTS and says the pressure is on. But it’s an opportunity to show fans who he really is and is looking to release the project towards the end of this year.

Apple Music Announces Spatial Audio With Dolby Atmos
The next generation of sound is coming to Apple Music, the integration of Spatial Audio with support for Dolby Atmos was announced this week—at no additional cost for subscribers. This addition will give artists the opportunity to create immersive audio experiences for fans. Subscribers will also be able to listen to more than 75 million songs in Lossless Audio—allowing them to hear music the way artists created it in the studio. J Balvin commented saying he couldn’t be more excited about the new features because everything will sound bigger and stronger.

A$AP Rocky Says Morrissey Is “writing, producing, and contributing vocals” For New Album
In A$AP Rocky’s recent interview with GQ, he revealed his forthcoming album All Smiles is 90% done and he had help from a surprising collaborator—Morrissey. The former Smiths frontman has been working with Rocky remotely throughout the last year. Rocky is a self-proclaimed Morrisey superfan and gushed about his work ethic saying, “anything you need him to do, he show up and do.”
