The only person who could ever outdo Beyoncé is Beyoncé. In her loudest mic drop yet, the Queen herself released her hour and a 25-minute long visual album that weaves in the story of The Lion King in which it follows a young African King through his journey of self-identity, exclusively on Disney+. It’s a love letter to African and Black culture, highlighting numerous talents from Shatta Wale to Yemi Aladé, Jaido P, Nija, Mr Eazi, and Nyaniso Dzedze—and so many more Black creatives—throughout. Every scene has so much beauty, art, history, and storytelling to digest, it’s required watching over and over again. What may be just as entertaining as Black Is King are the reactions that are reverberating through the web-esphere. We’re rounding up the best as they roll in.

I like how none of the songs on #BlackIsKing have been cut. Instead Beyoncé added extra minutes on most of them. Extra harmonies, extra instrumentals etc. I was actually shook when I was 8 minutes in and it was still the BIGGER visual whew pic.twitter.com/XeA9MVNTIy

I don’t like the way “Lemonade” visuals look basic to me now that “Black Is King” is out.#BlackIsKing pic.twitter.com/KcnWSLq4Bk
