The Parisian electronic duo, Daft Punk, who first won our hearts and took dance parties around the world to a whole new level with their break-out single “Da Funk,” have announced they are calling it quits after 28 years.
Breaking the news with an eight-minute video titled “Epilogue,” the anonymous collaboration between Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo is responsible for more hits than any other electronic act in history—starting with their 1997 debut, Homework. Twenty years later, they reemerged with “Get Lucky” featuring Pharrell Williams and their follow-up, “Lose Yourself To Dance.”
The robots have been deactivated but their music will live on forever. Watch their farewell video below and lose yourself in our 10 best Daft Punk tracks of all time.
