If you’re anything like us, we see an interesting headline during our daily scroll—pause to read it—but then keep scrolling without reading the actual story. So at the end of each week, we’re rounding up all the buzziest, news-worthy headlines you might have missed. Think of it like the “saved” feature on Instagram but for news instead of aesthetically pleasing photos. A$AP Rocky marries Rihanna in his new music video, Future is a medieval toxic king in his “Wait For U” video, and Post Malone is going to be a dad—this is what you missed this week.

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna Are Ride Or Die in “D.M.B” Video
The year is 2013, A$AP Rocky drops his music video for “Fashion Killa” feat. Rihanna as his love interest and rumors start speculating that the two of them might be a couple. Almost 10 years later we finally have a sequel and yes it was totally worth the wait. The video was shot prior to Rihanna’s pregnancy, in July 2021 to be exact when paparazzi photos were released of the couple sitting on a fire escape wearing colorful fur. The “D.M.B” video marks Rocky’s directorial debut and reads as a tribute to his and Rihanna’s love as well as the city that raised him—New York City. They hug! They eat pasta! They drink rosé! And I am not okay. About three minutes in, Rocky proposes to Rihanna not by getting down on one knee but smiling to reveal a pair of grillz that say, “marry me?” to which she smiles and responds, “I do” (in grillz, of course). There are various clips from the wedding, Rihanna wears a red dress and veil, followed by the happy couple walking down a hallway with rose petals gracefully falling around them. Considering “Fashion Killa” prophesized Rocky and Rihanna would have a child together in the line “But she save it so our babies will be flyer than their parents,” I’m guessing wedding bells are not that far off IRL.

Future and Drake’s “Wait For U” Video Is a Medieval Tale
If you ever forget that Future is the toxic king, not to worry because he’ll remind you. Following the release of his new album I Never Liked You and the deluxe version, Future dropped the video for his song “Wait For U” feat. Drake and Tems. Directed by Director X, the video is set in Medieval times and starts off with a book called “The Tale of the Toxic King”. Future is said king and he has to leave his queen to go to war and do more toxic things with his soldiers (Drake). His queen catches on to his unloyalty and sends him a wax-sealed letter that reads “I doth findeth it funny”, a clever take on the classic argument starter “I just find it funny”. Drake is then tasked with bringing Future’s response back to his queen and saves a damsel in distress along the way. The video ends with the queen opening Future’s letter that reads “I am goodeth beloved. Enjoyeth.” Proving once again that he is indeed the toxic king.

Music at The 2022 Met Gala: Rosalía, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Phoebe Bridgers & More
The Met Gala came back in full force this week, months after the delayed 2021 event took place in September, and the stars were out. The theme this year was gilded glamour which some celebrities achieved—Billie Eilish I’m looking at you—and others opted for red carpet fashion sans theme. Artists in attendance included Cardi B, Jack Harlow, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Normani, Phoebe Bridgers, SZA, Kacey Musgraves, Rosalía, and more. There were many memorable moments from the event floating around on social media, like Jack Harlow cheekily telling Emma Chamberlain, “Luh you” at the end of their interview before walking away. Or Rosalía having a fangirl moment when she ran into Nicki Minaj on the Met Gala stairs. There was also Olivia Rodrigo and Gwen Stefani having a chat, love to see older gen pop-punk embrace the Sour prom queen.

Post Malone Is Going to Be a Dad
It’s been a minute since Post Malone has been in the spotlight or released new music but his future has more than just an album on the horizon. He confirmed this week to TMZ that he’s expecting his first child with his longtime girlfriend, who remains unknown. “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad,” he said to the outlet. Aw, we love to see Post happy. He continued, “time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.” Huge congrats to the happy couple! His fourth studio album, Twelve Carat Toothache, arrives June 3rd.

Kendrick Lamar Prompts Double Album Speculation
The cryptic Kendrick Lamar messages continue about his forthcoming album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. He posted a photo this week on oklama.com of a hand holding a book titled Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers and two CDs titled “Morale” and “Steppers”. Naturally, the internet jumps to conclusions and assumes this photo means his new album is going to be a double album. Time will tell as the release is scheduled for next Friday, May 13th. Fingers crossed he doesn’t pull a Kanye and push back the release date.
