“Slicked Back Hair”– Elijah Woods
I’ve had “Slicked Back Hair” by elijah woods on repeat lately!! He’s one of my favourite artists from Toronto, and this track is a pre-release from his upcoming debut album Can We Talk?, dropping October 14. It’s such a beautiful anthem about growth, vulnerability, and how meeting someone special can transform you for the better, like turning from a caterpillar into a butterfly as Elijah described this track.

“Doll House – Live” – Del Water Gap
Del Water Gap in general has always been on repeat but the live version of Doll House with the shoutout to best friends has been the perfect song to have on repeat as the weather is getting colder, also counting down the days until Nov. 7!!!

“Dracula” – Tame Impala
After a five year long music drought, Tame Impala is finally back, rolling out his long-awaited new album Deadbeat. I have been listening to the single “Dracula” on repeat, it has the perfect funky, spooky vibes for the fall season.

“The Life Of A Showgirl” – Taylor Swift ft. Sabrina Carpenter
The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift ft. Sabrina Carpenter. This song has great energy! You can’t not dance to it! The Sabrina Carpenter collaboration is everything it needed to be, the song bounces and feels so much bigger because of it. The final message, “Wouldn’t have it any other way,” is the best part. It’s the ultimate anthem for anyone who works hard to make magic happen. Definitely one of my favourite tracks on the album!

“Baby Steps” – Olivia Dean
I know I’m not the only one riding this Olivia Dean wave because she’s absolutely taking over the world right now. I’m in love with her entire album, but the song that’s really stuck with me is “Baby Steps.” It captures the feeling of growing up and finding your own path so beautifully, reminding us to take life one step at a time. I’ve interpreted this song as such a gentle yet powerful message that we’re all still learning, and we owe ourselves a little more grace along the way.

“12:34” – The Band CAMINO
We’re all in our yearning era. It began with Conrad Fisher, and now The Band CAMINO are keeping it going with their latest single, “12:34.” The track captures that aching feeling of wishing for someone you’re not sure still feels the same. It’s heartbreaking—but in that glossy, pop-rock way The Band CAMINO have perfected over the years. The perfect jam for the fall season. So see ya 11:11! I’ll be wishing on 12:34 until further notice.
