Drake – ‘FOR ALL THE DOGS’
Thinking we might just lose it if Drizzy makes us wait any longer for this one, but fingers crossed it’s finally coming. The album was initially set for release on September 22 but then delayed until October 6 due to his ongoing tour. Drake said, “I either cancel shows to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show” and we can’t blame him for wanting to give us his best work. What do we know about the release so far? There have been talks about Nicki Minaj, Bad Bunny, and Burna Boy on the list of features next to SZA following the most recent single, the cover art was done by none other than Adonis, and Lil Yachty says it has some of Drake’s best verses. Get your leashes ready for when this one drops.

Stellaria is Chelsea’s third studio album, and its creation was a challenging but transformative two-year journey for her. In an Instagram post announcing the album’s release date, Cutler emphasized embracing the present, valuing the creative process, and finding comfort in discomfort. She sees Stellaria as a representation of life’s moments, encompassing both the ups and downs. The album’s title is derived from the word ‘stella,’ meaning star, and it is also the name of a genus of around 190 species of flowering plants. As Chelsea would say, let’s ride.

Jamila Woods is set to release her third LP, Water Made Us, following her 2019 album Legacy! Legacy! The album’s title is inspired by a Toni Morrison quote, reflecting Woods’ continued admiration for Morrison’s work and influence on her music, as previously seen in her song “Sula (Paperback)” and a chapbook of her poetry. Jamila credits and shouts out her therapists, astrologers, family, and friends along the way who supported her process and facilitated the journey of transforming her journaled thoughts and qualms, into what came to be this project.

Attention all swifties – ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ is right around the corner! Taylor announced the release of the re-recorded album on August 9, during her Eras Tour in Los Angeles.
