Lizzo Gets Cartoonified on ‘The Simpsons’
Lizzo is making rounds through the most infamous of fictional landscapes, from performing a cookie flute for Elmo on Sesame Street, to meeting Baby Yoga on The Mandalorian, to now being cartoonified to jam out with Bar, Lisa, and Homer on The Simpsons. On Monday, she announced her cameo on the longtime beloved cartoon series along with a teaser of her appearance, writing on Instagram, “Every Icon has been on @thesimpsons — now I can add my name to the list! Thank you to the whole team for making this a dream come true.” Not only did Lizzo get her moment on the show, but so does her famous collaborator Sasha Flute. For those of you who aren’t aware of Sasha, she is Lizzo’s flute and has more followers on Instagram than you do—345,000 to be exact. Sasha also shared the news via her profile, with the caption: “Ok…. How do I say this w out gettin too cocky… IM OFFICIALLY THE MOST FAMOUS FLUTE IN D WORLD. WE ARE TRULY WINNING FLOOT GANG.” Lizzo and Sasha’s appearance on The Simpsons is all too fitting, coming several months after Lizzo dressed up as Marge Simpson for Halloween, going the whole nine yards painting her skin yellow and wearing a tall blue wig, asserting herself as a devoted fan worthy of her own cameo.

Amidst her Renaissance Tour, Beyoncé took to Instagram to tease an upcoming hair-related debut, a venture she says is rooted in her family values and salon culture. In a three-part carousel featuring a present Bey with her beautiful natural curls, a younger Beyoncé—who could be easily mistaken for Blue Ivy, we had to do a double take—, and a thoughtful message about the teased launch. “How many of ya’ll know that my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon,” she shared, going on to note that Destiny’s Child’s inception was performing in that same salon, performing for clients.
