If you’re anything like us, we see an interesting headline during our daily scroll—pause to read it—but then keep scrolling without reading the actual story. So at the end of each week, we’re rounding up all the buzziest, news-worthy headlines you might have missed. Think of it like the “saved” feature on Instagram but for news instead of aesthetically pleasing photos. Post Malone confirms he has a new album on the way, Kanye announces ‘Donda 2’ release, and Grimes teams up with Blackpink’s Jennie—this is what you missed this week.

Post Malone Has a New Album Coming & Reveals Benefits of Utah
Post Malone fans have taken note of his absence from the spotlight and that’s exactly what he wanted when he moved from L.A. to a mountainside sanctuary in Utah three years ago. In a new interview with Billboard, Post reveals that he got the peace and quiet he was craving but the music didn’t come as easily as he thought. He had to rediscover what made him want to make music in the first place, the creative spark he had way before he became “Post Malone”. Naturally, he did and he has a new album on the way called twelve carat toothache that’s around 45 mins long making it his shortest album to date. First, because he wanted to avoid filler songs (he believes he had on prior releases) and second, he doesn’t care about numbers. In a streaming era, labels often push albums with 20+ songs to get more streams but Post didn’t want to compromise his artistry. The album set to be coming soon is good news for his fans but a tour isn’t likely until 2023.

Kanye West Announces New Album Donda 2, Executive Produced by Future
If you’ve heard Kanye’s name more times than your own in the last 3 months, I promise you’re not alone. The all-mighty Ye is seemingly everywhere—social media, news headlines, interrupting dinners at Carbone for impromptu photoshoots—and it’s not slowing down as he announced that Donda 2 will be dropping on 2/22/22. Will it be a long, drawn-out rollout with multiple listening parties and live streams of Kanye living in the Mercedes Benz Stadium? Kanye fans will say yes but no really one knows. Here’s what we do know: it’s going to be executive produced by Future, the release date coincides with Pluto’s return, Kanye’s been in the studio with everyone from The Game to A$AP Rocky, and there might be a Donda 2 film starring Julia Fox. For the non-astrology stans, a Pluto Return happens when “a heavenly body” passes all 12 signs and returns to the same sign it was in when it was created. Feb 22nd will be the first time in 248 years that a Pluto Return happens in the US. No idea what that has to do with Donda 2 but Kanye’s antics are often seen as outlandish until his full plan is revealed and everything makes sense. His highly publicized relationship with Julia Fox and social media documented studio sessions don’t seem as random anymore suggesting that everything’s going according to plan.

Blackpink’s Jennie Joins Forces With Grimes in “Shinigami Eyes”
For months fans have been speculating about a collaboration between Grimes and Jennie since they shared photos of themselves in front of a SpaceX rocket around the same time Grimes previewed a new song on Discord. The single titled “Shinigami Eyes” (a reference to the anime show Death Note) is officially here along with a futuristic music video starring Jennie. In what looks like a video game set in years in the future, Grimes changes hairstyles and outfits against trippy backdrops. Replying to a fan’s Instagram comment Grimes said “I’ve never seen such pure talent on set.”

A$AP Rocky Features on Nigo’s New Song “Arya”
The first single from Nigo’s upcoming album I Know NIGO is here featuring A$AP Rocky. “Arya” was first teased on A$AP’s Instagram story and an updated version was played during Nigo’s debut fashion show as the artistic director for Kenzo at Paris Fashion Week. The song starts off with a soft piano-heavy instrumental before A$AP comes in with bars and hard-hitting bass drums. I Know NIGO will be Nigo’s first music project in almost 20 years and is set to be filled with features from Tyler, the Creator, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, Pusha T, and more.

Bad Bunny Announces 29-Date Summer Stadium Tour
It’s a good year for Bad Bunny, after selling out his first post-COVID headlining tour in record time he’s going to keep going announcing a second tour for this summer. The 29-date U.S and Latin America tour kicks off on August 5th and is the first-ever stadium tour for Bad Bunny. Titled “World’s Hottest Tour,” my favourite part about any Bad Bunny tour is always his fans’ reactions. Before I checked Twitter I already knew “Bad Bunny Tickets” would be trending, if you also enjoy Twitter memes please see below and thank me later.
