Drake & Kanye Reunite On Stage For Larry Hoover Benefit Concert
As promised, Drake and Kanye ended their feud and performed together on stage for the first time in years. The concert in question was a benefit concert for Larry Hoover who’s currently serving multiple life sentences at ADX Florence. There wasn’t much mention of Hoover besides the merch that read “FREE LARRY HOOVER” and Drake’s custom “Free The Mandem” hoodie. Kanye’s Sunday Service Choir did a warmup slash sermon before Kanye and Drake descended the Coliseum steps to “Ultralight Beam.” The concert was a night to remember for hip-hop fans as Kanye performed hit after hit from his catalogue—old and new. He played songs from College Dropout and 808s and Heartbreak before covering Drake’s “Find Your Love.” Drake returned the favor and sang Kanye’s “24” along with a number of his recent songs from CLB. Notable moments include Drake catching a vibe during “Find Your Love” and Kanye’s public declaration to Kim Kardashian. “I need you to run right back to me, more specifically, Kimberly” said Kanye during a new outro of his song “Runaway.”

Migos’ Takeoff Launches Space-Ape Themed NFT Project
Takeoff is the latest celebrity to enter the NFT world announcing his new PFP project, Apes In Space. The collection features 9,999 space-ape-themed avatars priced at 0.3 ETH each but before you question why the price is higher than average—listen to the perks. Apes In Space is aiming to create the biggest hip-hop festival in the metaverse and will also send one lucky collector on a real-life space journey with Takeoff himself. The premise of the avatars is that it’s set in 2203, the planet is in constant conflict over oil reserves and apes are beginning to train for combat. The rapper took a unique route by not auctioning off some format of his music as an NFT but instead creating an online community that he can continue to build for years to come.

Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff & St. Vincent Are No Longer Grammy Nominees For ‘Sour’
It seems there’s been a correction to the Grammy nominations this week. Originally when nominations were announced on November 23rd, Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, and St. Vincent were listed as songwriters on Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour. Despite the fact that they weren’t actively involved in the songwriting process, Rodrigo and her producer Daniel Nigro interpolated an old song of theirs for “Deja Vu.” What is interpolation? It’s when a song is recreated note for note—not a sample because it sounds different from the original song—and reflects the underlying composition. Meaning “Deja Vu” has the underlying composition of Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer.”

Miley Cyrus Serenades Pete Davidson & Reveals They Got Matching Tattoos In 2017
Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and revealed that they got matching tattoos in 2017 after performing on SNL together. In a very spur-of-the-moment decision (the best way to decide about permanent ink) Davidson texted his tattoo guy to come to Rockefeller Centre right after the show was filmed. Inspired by their “trap babies” skit (babies that rap) they got “The Baby Step” inked but Davidson has already removed his. Cyrus then proceeded to serenade her ex-matching tattoo partner with a cover of Yvonne Fair’s “It Should Have Been Me.”

Olivia Rodrigo Is Finally Going On Tour
Get ready to relive all those high school feels because Olivia Rodrigo is going on tour next year. After a very busy year, performing at award shows, receiving 7 Grammy nominations, and collectively making the world scream sing “Good 4 U” more times than anyone would care to admit, she’s taking her show on the road. Starting in April she’ll be touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe with Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone, and Baby Queen as her openers. I have questions, will I stand out in a sea of teenagers? Is it prom-themed? Is it bring your own Y2K accessories? Tickets go on sale today, and will likely sell out soon so don’t be Sour if a 13-year-old beats you to it.
