The Weeknd’s ‘Thursday’ Mixtape Lands On Streaming Services For 10th Anniversary
“You get a mixtape! You get a mixtape! You get a mixtape!” is what I imagine The Weeknd saying as he re-releases his Thursday mixtape on streaming platforms this week. It was in honor of the mixtape’s 10th anniversary, similar to how he released House of Balloons in March. The two mixtapes along with a third that is yet to be released make up the original Trilogy. If The Weeknd is indeed planning on giving fans all three mixtapes for their 10th anniversary then Echoes of Silence will be re-released Dec 21, 2021. The Thursday mixtape includes the single “The Zone” featuring fellow Toronto artist Drake—OVOXO link up.

Lizzo Opens Up About Recent Bullying Following Release of New Single
Following the release of Lizzo and Cardi B’s single “Rumours” last week, the Greek goddess-themed music video received backlash on social media. Lizzo went on Instagram live and showed vulnerability detailing the comments she’s received and how they’ve affected her. In an interview with Good Morning America, Lizzo said that despite the negativity she still hopes to inspire others and encourages her fans to practice self-love.

Ed Sheeran Announces New Album = (Equals)
Remember Ed Sheeran? Allow me to jog your memory, the red-haired English singer who occasionally wears glasses and made the song “Shape of You” that you screamed along to in 2017. In the last four years, Sheeran has gotten married, had a child, experienced loss, and wrote about all of it for his upcoming album ‘=’ which he describes as a coming-of-age album. Arriving October 29th, (Equals) is the follow up to (Divide) and Sheeran has already released two singles from the album titled “Bad Habits” and “Visiting Hours.”

Fans Think Destiny’s Child Could Be Reuniting
Stop everything, I have a public service announcement that Destiny’s Child might be returning. Fans noticed that the header image on the group’s social media account was changed this week showing a new and improved logo. Twitter fingers started typing and the platform became flooded with prayers, manifestations, and hope that the R&B group has something in the works. It’s been 15 years since the group disbanded in 2006 and the only reunion since was when they performed together in 2016 for Beyoncé’s Coachella set. The teenager in me is screaming at this possibility.

André 3000 Signs On To Netflix’s Upcoming ‘White Noise’ Film
André 3000 of Outkast has officially joined the cast of White Noise. Directed by Noah Baumbach, the film is an adaptation of the 1985 novel with the same name by Don DeLillo. The plot is satirical following a professor who’s forced to confront his fear of his own mortality when a chemical spill happens in his hometown. It’s unclear which role André is playing yet but he just wrapped up shooting an A24 film, making his IMBD credits longer and longer.
