Snotty Nose Rez Kids are relentless creators. Rappers Quinton “Yung Trybez” Nyce and Darren “Young D” Metz worked hard to win over fans and critics alike with the release of their 2017 debut, The Average Savage. Despite all the awards and accolades that followed, they’ve been working hard ever since to stay top of mind—and it’s paying off.
SNRK’s 2019 LP Trapline earned the Haisla Nation duo a nod from the Polaris Prize and their latest single, “Where They At,” with hip-hop powerhouse Drezus, turned out to be a certified back-to-school bop.
Fresh off a socially distanced shoot for the music video that will accompany their new track, SNRK caught up with their friend and track collaborator Drezus over text to let him know how it went, wherein they go back and forth about pandemic cooking, airplane toilet mishaps, and the next big names in Indigenous music.
