NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts have been amplifying unique concert going experiences for music fans for more than a decade from the cozy confines of the NPR headquarters in Washington D.C.
All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen and NPR Music editor Stephen Thompson made history when they first invited folk singer Laura Gibson to perform at Boilen’s desk and posted a recording of it online.
The wheels were then put into motion for a monumental genre-defying music experience that has now captured more than 800 performances since its inception in 2008.
We’ve been watching closely and have rounded up the top-10 best NPR Tiny Desk Concert performances of all time.
