July Talk Made Us A Playlist

Vocalist Leah Fay teaches us that it’s okay to dance and cry (especially if it’s at the same time) with her carefully curated Cry/Dance Mix 2020.

July Talk co-lead vocalist Leah Fay knows a little prayer can go a long way. And as she and her bandmates prepare to drop their latest creation, Pray For It, their legion of fans are waiting patiently to answer their call.

In addition to their anticipated third album, the socially conscious Toronto party rock stalwarts have been keeping busy with their recently launched Care-A-Van Project, a collaborative volunteer initiative between local bands and Breakaway Addiction Services. “Breakaway had to adapt their community meal program into a grocery delivery program because of COVID-19, so we started picking up the groceries in our band van once a week a couple of months ago,” explains Fay.

All that driving around for a noble cause is naturally in need of a proper playlist, so we asked Fay to create a collection of tracks that she listens to while rolling around the city. She kindly gifted us with her Cry/Dance Mix 2020 playlist for everyone to enjoy while counting down the days to July Talk’s new album.
